Make your car look like new all the time with a ceramic coating!
Today, wax and sealants you can apply to your car’s surface only provide negligible results on a short-term basis, leaving your vehicle’s paint and exterior susceptible to denting and demarcations caused by dirt, grime, UV rays, inclement weather, and more. If you are looking for a permanent solution to retain your car’s glossy, like-new appearance, having our professionals at Savannah Ceramic Coatings apply a ceramic coating is your answer.
We offer quality ceramic coatings for our Savannah, Georgia customers. Featuring a multi-layer, clear, non-ceramic formula, when cured, these coatings become a permanent, durable glass shield. With three times the hardness of other ceramic coating products on the market and self-cleaning properties, a ceramic coating is the right choice for you and your car.
Why should you choose a ceramic coating for your vehicle? First off, the coating will protect your car for a lifetime, allowing you to boost your vehicle’s market value. After the coating is applied, you’ll see a mirror effect, glossiness, and color depth that is incomparable to anything else. Since the slick coated surface won’t let dirt, brake dust, and tar to stick to your car’s wheels, glass, or paint, washing your vehicle becomes less labor-intensive and the need for cleaning becomes less frequent.
Our Process
We start by looking over the vehicle with you, showing you defects that we plan to remove prior to the coating application. Then, we take the vehicle to our decontamination wash bay. The vehicle is thoroughly cleaned, starting with the wheels and wheel wells. We use a combination of chemicals and brushes to clean the wheels inside and out along with the wheel wells. Then, we open the doors, hood, trunk, and gas door to clean out the jambs. Then, we start cleaning the body of the car with a high-pH soap that removes bugs, tar, road grime etc. We decontaminate with an iron remover and clay bar process before applying a low-pH soap to help remove water spots. We finish the wash process with a pH-neutral soap and dry off all the water from the paint, jambs, and wheels with a combination of forced air from a blower and towels.
The vehicle is then pulled inside to receive paint correction. The paint correction process starts with our team taping the black or chrome plastics to avoid damaging them. Then, depending on the paint correction chosen, we perform either a polish, single-stage paint correction, two-stage paint correction, or our premium show-car paint correction. The most popular, even for brand new cars, is our two-stage paint correction. This process involves compounding and polishing the entirety of painted surfaces, which is typically an 8-hour process.
- Polish: Included in a ceramic package—adds gloss (wet look)
- Single-stage paint correction: Compound/polish combined using a DA polisher (50-60% correction)
- Two-stage paint correction: Compound with a cutting pad on a DA polisher and polish with a finishing pad on a DA polisher (80-90% correction)
- Show-car paint correction: Wet-sand, high speed compound, DA polisher using compound and DA polisher using polish (98% correction)
After paint correction, the vehicle receives an alcohol bath to remove polishing oils and debris before the coating process begins. Now the vehicle is ready to be coated with a ceramic or revivify coating. The entire exterior of the vehicle, including paint, trim, wheels, and windows, are coated. The vehicle then gets an interior detail and is ready to be picked up.
